What are SLOs?Service level objectives (SLOs) are part of a set of measures to increase the quality of service management. This set of instructions helps to understand which behaviors really matter, how to measure them and how to evaluate them so that the service has an acceptable quality. SLOs are key to making data-driven decisions about reliability. They are at the core of SRE practices. This brings greater confidence to the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team about what is important for the full functioning of the service, as well as resulting in a positive end-user experience. We’re facing two odd (and related) problems: There doesn’t seem to be a way to establish a PTR record for our primary domain’s IP address, as it’s assigned to a GCP load balancer. A reverse lookup for the IP we’re using maps to a .bc.googleusercontent.com domain, and this domain provides a cached, persistent, NON-SSL, and Google indexed version of our side, none of which can be Good.Has anyone had any experience with either of these issues? This service is built on top of Monarch, the same globally scalable data store as Cloud Monitoring. A thin fork of Prometheus replaces existing Prometheus deployments and sends data to the managed service with no user intervention. While using internal load balancer, scale out event happens (due to traffic metric activation), a new instance is created.At this point I noticed that all existing instances do not get traffic AT ALL from the load balancer for at least 10 seconds (traffic drops to zero).This cause a sever traffic failures to the backend and only after a few minutes when the scale out event completes the old instanced get traffic back.
Hi All,I am trying to upload PDF files (few hundred pages each) with different structures and annotate them using in the UI, I've used the provided tool to get a JSONL for my first file. however, every time I provide the URL and try to import the data I receive the below error, I also noticed that the JSONL file has a very small size. I would extremely grateful if someone could guide me toward a solution or provide pertinent resources.Thanks a lot.
Hello.I think the title captures my question. This works “out of the box” on AWS.But, when I setup an openvpn instance behind a UDP Network Load Balancer on GCP, I can’t get my client to connect… Thanks for any pointers.
Hey all, awesome to be a part of this community! Is anyone here running most of their backend on cloud functions and have any tips on CI/CD and organization of large scale cloud functions backends? Right now we have a fairly robust testing and staging flow but we’re still manually deploying cloud functions because there doesn’t seem to be an intuitive way to automatically deploy the functions and code that has been changed. Has anyone else run into this problem and have any tips and ideas on how to organize projects like this and deploy them at scale. Thanks!

Hi everyone!I'm starting to work with Google Vertex and I had this question regarding the scalability of the endpoints.When I configure an endpoint I must:1) set hardware for the training machine (n1-standard-2, for example);2) set a minimum and maximum number of computer nodes.Number 1 is mandatory and number 2 is optional (if configured, new nodes will only be instantiated with the configuration defined in item 1).What is unclear to me is when I should invest in a larger hardware configuration (1) and when I should invest in a larger number of nodes (2).Does anyone have an idea?Thank you!
