I am looking for any resources that can help me with regards to designing Cloud Firestore database for scalability. If anyone knows of any resource, that I can use I would really appreciate it.
Hello
First of all, I am not sure if you've checked out the official Firestore documentation, but in case you haven't, here are a couple of resources to get started with:
1) Firestore
2) Building scalable applications with Firestore
3) Create a Firestore database by using a web or mobile client library
4) Create a Firestore database by using a server client library
Do these help for a starter? :)
Please let me know if you're looking for something more specialised.
And by the way, since I can see you are new to the community and this is your first post, I would like to encourage you to start a new topic in the C2C Lounge and present yourself to us using this template. It would be great for our members and us to get to know you better! :)
Last but not least, check out this video from this event we had about a year ago with Michael Pytel (
Scaling an Enterprise Software: Autoscaling Applications and Databases (full video)
Michael compares Data store options using BigQuery, Firestore, and CloudSQL.
And, finally, I don't know if you're interested in Google Cloud Bigtable - check also "Bringing More Insights to the Table with Cloud Bigtable" out :)
