The truth is that I haven’t used it, yet. Instead, I have worked with Dataprep for cleaning data and Data Studio for dashboards.
Has anyone used it? Let me know what you think about this. And also, if anyone has used Looker and Dataprep to compare them, this would be even better!

I haven’t used Looker. I have checked a few articles and videos and had a call with Google reps to pitch it to us. I have some experience with Data Prep, although I chose to do the preparation in BigQuery only. Mainly due to the cost of the data flow pipeline.
The main benefit of working with Looker is the semantic model, as I understand. This is the layer where all data sources can be connected and reusable business logic applied. It could be easier to scale that way. On the other hand, Looker can be used to trigger webhooks to external apps to automate some workflows based on data. It has versioning and does not store the data. The data is stored and processed in BigQuery and/or DataFlow as I understood. It can have streaming pipelines.
As for pricing it was 60k EUR / year and it included 2 admin licenses and 10 analyst licenses. The difference is that the admin can work on the semantic model. The analysts can work with the data and create dashboards. All that is one instance. If you want to embed it, for example in your CRM, that would be a second instance and will have to pay for that separately. We’ll I am not sure how that exactly works as I already thought it was quite expensive.
Dataprep shines more in the preparation of data.

It is always great to have people and exchange views and experiences.
