The people I add to my project are not receiving an invitation email. How can they access my project? I’ve assigned them the Editor role since I have already assigned 4 owners.

Hello @ChambiarGirl,

Here are some possible reasons why the individuals you added to your Google Cloud project are not receiving invitation emails, along with suggested solutions:

1. Confirm email addresses: Double-check for any typos or errors in the email addresses you entered.

2. Check spam/junk folders: Ask the invitees to check their spam or junk folders in case the invitation emails were filtered there.

3. Whitelist Google Cloud emails: Ensure that the invitees' email providers or organizations have not blocked emails from Google Cloud. They may need to whitelist Google Cloud emails.

4. Invitees have already accepted an invitation: If the individuals have already accepted an invitation to your project, they will not receive another invitation email.

5. Invitees have disabled invitation emails in their Google Account settings: Instruct the invitees to enable invitation emails by going to their Google Account settings, opening the "Notifications" tab, and adjusting the settings accordingly.

6. Confirm IAM role assignments: Verify that you have correctly assigned the Google Cloud IAM Editor role to the individuals you want to invite. Check the IAM policies for your project in the IAM & Admin page of the Google Cloud Console.

7. Access project manually: If the individuals are not receiving invitation emails, they can still access the project by signing in to the Google Cloud Platform Console to follow this link: https://console.cloud.google.com/ with their Google accounts. They should select the project from the hamburger menu (three horizontal lines) in the top left corner of the page.

8. Share project ID manually: As a last resort, you can manually share the project ID with the individuals you want to invite. They can then request access to the project by following the instructions in the Google Cloud documentation.

https://cloud.google.com/iam/docs/creating-managing-service-accounts#requesting-access-to-a-project

https://cloud.google.com/iam/docs/roles-overview

If none of these solutions work, there may be a problem with the Google Cloud IAM service. In such cases, you should contact Google Cloud support for further assistance.

Thanks so much for getting this, @malamin!

@ChambiarGirl, how helpful was @malamin’s answer? Can you tell us if you went through the process and if everything was alright?
