While using internal load balancer, scale out event happens (due to traffic metric activation), a new instance is created. At this point I noticed that all existing instances do not get traffic AT ALL from the load balancer for at least 10 seconds (traffic drops to zero). This cause a sever traffic failures to the backend and only after a few minutes when the scale out event completes the old instanced get traffic back.

In the grand tapestry of the modern business world, change is the thread that keeps weaving in and out. We’ve seen it a lot this year, especially in tech and other industries. What’s causing the picture to keep changing? A whole host of things – shifts in what people want, cutting-edge tech like data analysis, AI, large language models, and cloud computing, and then there’s the ongoing pandemic, political shifts, and climate change. In this fast-paced scene, if you’re not moving forward, you’re sliding back. Businesses are now looking to speed up decision-making, cut costs, and handle the influx of data that’s constantly rolling in. They’re equipping their employees with data and AI to make decisions in near real-time. It’s a bit like how Google changed how we search and Uber transformed how we travel. Now, it’s hitting the business world big time. Sapphire 2023: Key Takeaways Efficiency and Cost Optimization: The bidirectional integration between Google Cloud and SAP Business Technolo

Hi I am new to the community but I have gathered that this is a good place to discuss and learn about Firebase technology, so that’s what I’d like to do. My first post is about something I have been struggling with recently, and something which has led me to suspect that there’s a bug in the Firestore platform. To replicate the situation I have, please arrange a Firestore in the formation shown in the images below: /users/ = chief parent collection (empty) /userA/ & /userB/ are empty first-level sub-collections /exclusiveA/ , /otherDetails/ and /signInData/ are parallel second-level sub-collections /exclusiveB/, /otherDetails/ and /signInData/ are parallel second-level sub-collections Okay, so to avoid any confusion, all of the data in the Firestore formation above, is two sub-collections beneath the chief parent collection. What I have tried to achieve, is for the ‘exclusiveA’ sub-collection to be read by ‘userB’ users, if the value of the ‘creditCard’ (a boolean) is false. The

Hey folks --I was wondering if anyone here had thoughts about the new Vertex AI Workbench announcement, and how that might sit alongside offerings like Colab (including the Pro and Pro+ packages)?Rather than provisioning ever-larger laptops to data scientists in the company, we’ve been encouraging them to make use of cloud hosted tooling - and recently have seen an uptick in requests for the paid Colab packages. Unfortunately these are quite hard to manage at an organisational level, as it’s a credit-card purchase on an individual account, rather than something that is attached to organisational billing. It seems that the new Workbench offering might be a little more appropriate in this case, but I was wondering if anyone had a handy comparison of the services more generally? At first glance, it looks like Vertex AI might be a little more focused on productionising the notebook - which has been controversial in some circles :) - but I don’t know that there’s anything about it that would
Hi all! So I just got the new iPad pro (the 2020 edition with the M1 chip), to use as a laptop for school. My windows laptop finally crashed after 4 or 5 years of use throughout high-school, so I needed a replacement. I decided I wanted an Apple because I’m going into a Graphics Degree and all of my professors are telling me to get an apple. I decided to go with the iPad pro over the Macbook because I wanted to be able to use an apple pencil for PhotoShop. Not too many issues with the apple pencil so far, just some software based issues since it’s an iPad and not a an actual laptop. So far, I’ve been able to work around all of my software based issues…except for in google drive installments… I love Google drive and their docs app. So much so that I’ve barely used Word since I was introduced to Google Docs in middle school. I use the docs app the most of all the drive apps, as it is a key part of my student life. Notes, Papers, Class Assignments, Personal Projects, etc. You name it, and
