How to use Goolge Vertex AI Pipelines to run DeepMind’s AlphaFold protein structure predictions at scale?
A new Vertex AI solution from Google Cloud shows how to execute DeepMind's AlphaFold protein structure predictions at scale using Vertex AI Pipelines.Scientists can design medications that modify protein activity depending on its role in the cell once the structure of the protein has been known. DeepMind, Alphabet's AI research group, developed the AlphaFold algorithm to enable data scientists and other researchers reliably forecast protein geometries at scale. To encourage interactive experimentation, Google Cloud offered a solution that combined AlphaFold with Vertex AI Workbench. This makes it easy for many data scientists to work with AlphaFold effectively. Today, I'll describe how to get started experimenting with this approach and go over some of its advantages, such as lower costs due to hardware selection that is optimised, repeatability due to experiment tracking, lineage and metadata management, and quicker run times due to parallelization. How does AlphaFold work with Vertex AI

New session affinity for Cloud Run services
Google Cloud has introduced session affinity for Cloud Run services. Session affinity may be used to improve the responsiveness of services that store client-specific states on container instances. Here is a link that explains why session affinity is valuable for you and how it works on Cloud Run. If you activate session affinity, requests from the same client will be sent to the same container instance, if it is accessible and has the ability to handle the request. https://cloud.google.com/blog/topics/developers-practitioners/improve-responsiveness-session-affinity-cloud-run

How the new resources get added to the Cloud
We have GCP private cloud Setup in Wells Fargo. We will be requesting new Resources from a Cloud portal /GKE /GCP console , I wonder how the required resources are made available Like compute/networking/storage etc. Who will be performing those tasks. Will there be a monitoring section to check if the required resources are available or not? Pl throw some light on this.

Difficulties uploading PDF files for annotation in DOCAI
Hi All,I am trying to upload PDF files (few hundred pages each) with different structures and annotate them using in the UI, I've used the provided tool to get a JSONL for my first file. however, every time I provide the URL and try to import the data I receive the below error, I also noticed that the JSONL file has a very small size. I would extremely grateful if someone could guide me toward a solution or provide pertinent resources. Thanks a lot.

PostgreSQL database and BigQuery: How to run query after connecting as External Data Source
As part of my attempt to run my first SQL query using BigQuery for a PostgreSQL database, I have been able to connect as External Data Source. Unable to figure out how to actually now run query after connecting. When I tried with this: SELECT * FROM accountsThis is the warning:Table "accounts" must be qualified with a dataset (e.g. dataset.table). Do I still need to create a dataset? Or what is needed to be done next. Help appreciated.

Why Should You Consider Using Docker as a Developer?
Docker is an open source containerization platform. It is a platform that makes it easier, simpler, and safer in building, deploying, and managing containerized applications. Docker provides the ability to package and run an application in a loosely isolated environment called a container. The isolation and security allows you to run many containers simultaneously on a given host. Containers are lightweight and contain everything needed to run the application, so you do not need to rely on what is currently installed on the host. You can easily share containers while you work, and be sure that everyone you share with gets the same container that works in the same way. Read more here

Organizations rely on data warehouses to aggregate data from disparate sources, process it, and make it available for data analysis in support of strategic decision-making. BigQuery is the Google Cloud enterprise data warehouse designed to help organizations to run large scale analytics with ease and quickly unlock actionable insights. You can ingest data into BigQuery either through batch uploading or by streaming data directly to unlock real-time insights. As a fully-managed data warehouse, BigQuery takes care of the infrastructure so you can focus on analyzing your data up to petabyte-scale. BigQuery supports SQL (Structured Query Language), which you’re likely already familiar with if you've worked wi
Security on GCP
Here are the latest updates, products, services and resources from GCP security teams on May: PSP protocol now open source: In order to better scale the security GCP offer their customers, they created a new cryptographic offload protocol for internal use that they open sourced in May. Intentionally designed to meet the requirements of large-scale data-center traffic, the PSP Protocol is a TLS-like protocol that is transport-independent, enables per-connection security, and is offload-friendly. Updating Siemplify SOAR: The future of security teams is heading towards “anywhere operations,” and the latest version of Siemplify SOAR can help get us there. It gives organizations the building blocks needed across cloud infrastructure, automation, collaboration, and analytics to accelerate processes for more timely responses and automated workflows. In turn, this can free up teams to focus on more strategic work. Guardrails and governance for Terraform: Popular open-source Infrastruct
