Scalability of the endpoints in Vertex

Hi everyone!I'm starting to work with Google Vertex and I had this question regarding the scalability of the endpoints.When I configure an endpoint I must:1) set hardware for the training machine (n1-standard-2, for example);2) set a minimum and maximum number of computer nodes.Number 1 is mandatory and number 2 is optional (if configured, new nodes will only be instantiated with the configuration defined in item 1).What is unclear to me is when I should invest in a larger hardware configuration (1) and when I should invest in a larger number of nodes (2).Does anyone have an idea?Thank you!

PTR records for static IP assigned to GCP load balancer

We’re facing two odd (and related) problems: There doesn’t seem to be a way to establish a PTR record for our primary domain’s IP address, as it’s assigned to a GCP load balancer. A reverse lookup for the IP we’re using maps to a .bc.googleusercontent.com domain, and this domain provides a cached, persistent, NON-SSL, and Google indexed version of our side, none of which can be Good.Has anyone had any experience with either of these issues? Thanks!

Traffic drops to zero on existing instances when scale out event happens

While using internal load balancer, scale out event happens (due to traffic metric activation), a new instance is created.At this point I noticed that all existing instances do not get traffic AT ALL from the load balancer for at least 10 seconds (traffic drops to zero).This cause a sever traffic failures to the backend and only after a few minutes when the scale out event completes the old instanced get traffic back.

Are you using GCP for compute intensive applications?

High-Performance Computing (HPC) applications are very compute intensive. These are engineering and scientific applications that simulate complex physics / technical / scientific phenomena like weather and climate, drug design and molecular modeling, fluid dynamics and material analysis e.g. in automotive and aerospace applications, and many more. In manufacturing, basically every new product, machine, part, etc. is simulated befor it gets built. And often, these simulations take hours, days, or even weeks to complete on powerful workstations. Now here comes the cloud; with vast computing resources and storage, you can run such simulations on many more servers, in parallel, reducing simulation time by a factor of 10 and more! Still, you have to ‘on-board’ your application to the cloud which in most cases is quite cumbersome, time-consuming, error-prone, and needs a lot of expertise that’s often not available in many companies. But, the good news is, in the meantime, there are automated
