How do you manage your right to disconnect?
I recently read the following article on the new “right to disconnect” campaignSuggesting that “bosses to add footers to any messages, reminding workers that they are not obliged to reply when not at work.” Obviously having created Patronum with email signature management included, we’d love to see these things being done within more organisations. However, what other things are you doing to help employees better manage their work life balance?
What is the Best Integration of Google Workspace Shared Drives and WorPress?
I have received a recommendation from @alan.muntadas and @JoeyMaller_UCC during the weekly coffee Community Meet about two choices for intergating a list of files [videos] in Shared Drives to a WordPress site:using Google Sites or working with Drive API What would you choose?
Killer update: Timeline view in Sheets
You’ll be able to toggle between new views in Sheets to better manage and interact with your data. Our first launch will be a timeline view that makes tracking tasks easier and faster. C2C Connect Morning Coffee = Life saver
Every Thursday C2C Connect has the Workspace Morning Coffee and Chat. I just wanted to say how I love these informal, talk about anything sessions. They have become a welcome break in the week where I can just turn up to a Google Meet and not have to “perform”. If you’ve not attended one of these sessions you’re missing out on connecting on a more personal level with some amazing people. Give it a try. (You have to bring your own coffee).
Google Meet picture-in-picture to Docs, Sheets, and Slides
In the coming months, Google will be rolling out Meet picture-in-picture to Docs, Sheets, and Slides. Designed for interactions where you’re pitching a proposal or walking through a document. This seems like a great feature, however, could this have a negative effect with people insisting on more real-time interaction and collaboration?Meet picture-in-pictureI love Google docs and the ability to have a single collaborative document, however, it’s very rare that I’ll be in a document at the same time as a colleague. I’d rather understand what’s necessary, leave comments or suggest changes and get on with my stuff, and only get together occasioning and when necessary. How do you see this new feature being adopted?
I am super passionate about communities and the voice of the customer, so I’d like to recommend folk join the SaaSOp.Life Community ran by C2C member @colinmccarthy Every other Friday at 2pm ET / 7pm BST, Colin hosts a live discussion about all things SaaSOps. Each week, they tackle a new topic concerning modern IT. I was lucky enough to be invited as a guest speaker back in January and now I’m a regular member enjoying some interesting and insightful conversation. (see my presentation of Patronum, The Google Workspace Manager below.) So jump on in and share your own experiences from the field or soak up best practices from your SaaSOps peers.

Google Meet "To See or not to See?"
During today’s Google Workspace Coffee Chat we discussed the Google Meet feature that allows you to see yourself or for that matter not see yourself during the call.A recent WIRED article suggests that seeing yourself on a video call is a good thing, while others disagree. That got me thinking do you perfect to see yourself on Google Meet or not?

Zero Inbox in Gmail ? Love or hate it?
So, with a few specialists we started a discussion on the Zero inbox (duly note that this was launched when it was remarked that the Google unread pastille in Gmail now became more visible (increase in size)… So here goes… what is your philosophy to the Zero Inbox ?My take :Zero inbox is a utpoia and inefficient. Best email management, is no email.Get your colleagues to tag you on docs instead of sending a mail "Hey , I just updated the doc, can you check it out?" urgh.. Get your clients to learn how to use chat or forms to contact you for a support request... (because, if you don't pick up the phone right away, they'll just send an email)..Get your suppliers to send your bills to a dedicated email and automate that with filters and so on..And finally when a mail comes in.. 1 of 3 options..respond immediately, snooze to respond later, delete.Only archive what you need to trace (and that should not really be that much, since everything is in a Google Doc (perpetual minutes is my big th
We still have a number of customers using Zoom Webinar to host and manage virtual presentations and webinars. What are others in the Google Workspace world doing in this area? Hangout on Air was great if a little confusing to set up. Live Streaming a Google Meet is only for Enterprise & Edu customers, and these are for internally streamed events only, not external. YouTube Live streaming could be an option but it’s a bit messy.

Do you have a "sharing" problem?
Does this sound a bit too familiar? 🤔1️⃣ Old files get forgotten, but are still out there somewhere2️⃣ Staff can share anything, but often fail to unshare everything3️⃣ We share files externally, but it quickly gets out of control4️⃣ We fear leaking sensitive data, but need to collaborate with others5️⃣ We all enjoy the convenience of #GoogleDrive, but how do we protect our files’ past, present, and future? Tricent is hosting a webinar with the Google Workspace Expert, Saleh Ramadan. The webinar will cover: The file-sharing problem in Google Workspace The reactive and proactive tech solutions to increase your data security (both free and paid methods) Saleh is also among the top instructors on Udemy and has taught more than 5000+ Google Workspace users around the world! High speed of new Workspace features: How to support end-users best?
Hi all,Great to be part of this discussion group! Have a general Google Workspace tools question:Over the past year, the speed of new Workspace features rolling-out was extremely high. Also going forward, I see a great pipeline of new features coming to G Workspace - speed of new features remains high. How can we as company customers best support our colleagues to 'digest'/apply all these new tools? Any secret recipe? 😉 As I see some in our organization are struggling a lot with thisCurious to hear your opinions, tips & tricks from your side!Best regards from SwitzerlandRaphael
Chat transcripts from recorded Google Meet sessions
I’m hoping the expertise of this community might answer my question or, better yet, provide a recommended solution. As good Google Workspace customers , we host all our C2C events in Google Meet. We record most sessions for both the video (if there’s a presentation), but also just to capture all the great shared links and comments in the chat. I love that Drive auto-shares the recording and chat transcript with me when it’s ready. However, I can’t ever access the transcript doc to copy those links and comments. The link it provides in the email is view only and I can’t even highlight text to copy! I can navigate through drive to find the actual doc to access it there, but I’m wondering if there’s a solution to this challenge I’m facing.
Would you be interested in a Talk about productivity data?
We discuss so much about Workspace enabling productivity, but what does the data say? How are businesses doing? Are we more productive remote? Should we empower employees to continue working remote? We have access to thousands of data points, but how are they collected? How are insights derived? Are others making decisions using these points? How happy are we now? All these questions and more could be answered in this Talk. So, tell me, do you want this? If so, we can spin it up! cc: @JoeyMaller_UCC
