Apologies if this comes across as a rant but I am throwing out Microsoft 365.The pricing matrix is absurd. The ability to figure out the plan and how much it costs is an exercise that could be worthy of an enhanced interrogation program. See the following link if you don’t believe me → https://m365maps.com/matrix.htmThe fee for integrating 365 Dynamics Sales Pro and Linkedin Sales Navigator was my breaking point (MSFT owns LinkedIn and requires an Advanced Plus license I can’t justify…..charging salesforce customers i get but 365 Dynamics customers makes ZERO sense). So I am moving my business email domain to workspace and I need to know if someone can point me in the right direction.I started my company in 2018 as a consulting firm for FIX (financial information exchange) protocol and Bloomberg terminal integration. I did not want a website due to the fact that my target market was very small and a site would add an expense. I was not well educated in the DNS record department so I set

What is your IT department’s position on Apple devices in the organization? Do they embrace user choice and offer Mac computers to users that want them, or is it a firm “no”? Do users get to enjoy the frictionless Apple experience they love, or are their devices locked down to the point they’re no longer pleasant to use? Perhaps IT is still in denial and pretend they don’t see their CEO walking around with a Macbook, talking on an iPhone using AirPods. Whatever step you’re at in your Apple maturity journey, Jamf is there for you.At Jamf, we help organizations of all sizes and specialties to manage and secure their Apple devices, without impacting the user experience. You can find us in startups and enterprises, helping IT zero-touch deploy and secure Mac, iPhone and iPad and securely empowering employees with their BYOD devices. We’d love to get to know you — but let’s break the ice first. How did Jamf start? In the early 2000s, then-student now co-founder Zach Halmstad was working in th
Hi,Gmail’s multi send mode is great but as far as I am aware, it does not work with Google Groups. (I think this is because a group works as a single email address). Multi send does work with Contact Labels though because when you use a label in an email, it extracts the individual email addresses. So here’s my question: does anyone know how I can easily replicate the group members in a contacts label please? (Without searching for the members individually in Contacts)I see that you can export group members and import contacts, but it’s getting many contacts into a label in one go that I cannot work out. Many thanks for any help anyone can offer,Jane

You can create amazing things with the new feature for Google Workspace, “smart chips for third-party services”. If you haven't try it yet, have a look at the following two videos from @chanelgreco By the way, here is a question for the experts out there:Is the popup card that appears when hovering over with the mouse updated each time, or was it retrieved the first time and kept in the document? Thanks! And let me know what you have built with Smart Chips!

Hi all! So I just got the new iPad pro (the 2020 edition with the M1 chip), to use as a laptop for school. My windows laptop finally crashed after 4 or 5 years of use throughout high-school, so I needed a replacement. I decided I wanted an Apple because I’m going into a Graphics Degree and all of my professors are telling me to get an apple. I decided to go with the iPad pro over the Macbook because I wanted to be able to use an apple pencil for PhotoShop. Not too many issues with the apple pencil so far, just some software based issues since it’s an iPad and not a an actual laptop. So far, I’ve been able to work around all of my software based issues…except for in google drive installments… I love Google drive and their docs app. So much so that I’ve barely used Word since I was introduced to Google Docs in middle school. I use the docs app the most of all the drive apps, as it is a key part of my student life. Notes, Papers, Class Assignments, Personal Projects, etc. You name it, and

We have Workspace Enterprise and ~300 pcs. Currently I’m running around with a USB making them all company owned devices and putting GCPW & Drive for Desktop on them so we can ditch local admin accounts on all the PCs. I’ve only been here a couple months so don’t blame me for the previous setup but it is my problem to fix.We were 50 people and 30 PCs 3 years ago and now are 300 and 500 so we need to start acting like a real IT department sooner rather than later because we’re growing. No AD or anything, Workspace and a remote desktop support software are our only real tools so far. And Workspace Enterprise wasn’t until Jan or Feb. I’m really just a “help desk” type job and the company has no other IT people besides a couple other help desk like myself so designing and rolling out some big huge changes is a help desk duty here.. heh. After I’m done with that I’d like to make the next deployment much easier and explore in depth the kinds of management tools that the admin panel
