How do I stop gmail from wanting me to open google docs

On our computer I have 3 google email addresses. In two of those whenever I open a document and go to print it out there is no icon to allow me to print. What I get is at the top of the page in the center it asks me to open the report usually a pdf with google docs.

This does not work for me as what ends up printing out is information that does not follow the formatting.

What I would like to know is how do I shut that option off. I know it is some where in the settings but I do not have any idea where to look.

A little background the first email address is my personal G mail account. When I go to print an attachment I have the open with google docs in the center of the page but than in the upper right hand corner I have an icon that allows me to print the document.

With the second email address there is no icon in the upper right corner to allow me to print the document. All that is there is the open with google docs in the center of the page and a pdf symbol in the upper left hand corner.

What I need to know is how to I get the print icon back on the upper right corner.

If you can help me please use as much detail as you can as I don’t follow gmail stuff in settings very well.

I would like to thank you in advance for any help you can give me.

Bill

Hi @BillDel1382 ! Welcome to C2C!

My first question is, do you perhaps have the icon available in the three dots menu?

Dimitris

PS: Please, do not forget to introduce yourself in the C2C Lounge using this template :)

Yes I have the print icon in the three dots drop down, however when I click on print if there are multiple pages it only prints one page and the format is off as it only prints ½ of the page length wise.

@BillDel1382 can you paste a screenshot of your print settings here? Make sure you check out all properties. Thanks! :)

your going to have to tell me how I get to the print settings. I do not know anything really about gmail.

Thanks

that’s not a problem, @BillDel1382 ! We all start somewhere at some point! :)

Okay, in this case I will assume then that you are a total beginner. Let me paste this video for a starter and let me know if it helps at all:

If not, let me know what you are missing from there, in case I can help more :)

I particularly found this video helpful and easy to follow:

Hope these help :)

These videos really didn’t help me at all. I need to be able to get into the settings and find the printer group

@BillDel1382 do you know how to take a screenshot? Can you take a screenshot of each of the scenes you mention?

Make sur to capture the full screen.

Also can you add any other information? What is your browser? Chrome? Have you created different chrome profiles (one per email adresse?)

What type of PC? Windows? Mac?
