I'm so excited about the new Managed Service Infrastructure Manager from Google Cloud! It uses Terraform templates to provision cloud services infrastructure as code on Google Cloud Platform. This is a great way to automate the deployment and management of your cloud infrastructure, and it's also a good choice because Terraform is a widely used configuration management tool. Here is the link below to read it more details.https://cloud.google.com/blog/products/management-tools/introducing-infrastructure-manager-powered-by-terraform
I can not start a new ssh connection to VM 1 day after starting VM.I could connect just after startup, and the channel I was connected to is still alive and I can still operate the VM through it.But I'm not able to start new ssh and scp connection.
I recently discovered a delightful tool that is in beta that has been handy when using Cloud Shell. For an efficient Supply Chain network, it’s crucial for an organization to amalgamate all the critical data sources to maintain control over its supply chain and manufacturing operations. An isolated first-party data housed in various SAP and non-SAP systems without any integration with second-party data and without any correlation with macro and micro-economic market factors will invariably result in sub-optimal supply chain operations. This fragmentation often culminates in high supply chain and manufacturing costs, imbalances in the demand-supply pivot, and reduced resilience to supply chain disruptions.Over the years, numerous organizations have generated a vast amount of high-quality data within their SAP and various other siloed systems. However, this data is primarily utilized for reporting purposes, neglecting its true value. This data holds incredible value for enterprises beyond just reporting. It aids in making real-time decisions to forecast demand, manage inventory, fulfill

Data driven transformation is more about getting the the solution with data foundation right for a well defined use case with clearer business value then followed by AI AI(ML/Generative AI/LLM).
Combining ERP data(SAP, Oracle EBS) with external data is easier that most customers think if you keep the scope narrow. The key is to start small, learn, ideate and iterate. Many conversation get drowned in ambitious concepts like Marketing DMP, Digital Twin, Control Towers and Command Centers which are more a Build and not a Buy offering. These concepts are right, but implementation needs to get practical and needs to show initial value in weeks not in years. Watch this video. The Need for Extending SAP CapabilitiesAs an SAP user like yourself, I have navigated the world of ECC and HANA, reaping their benefits and grappling with their limitations. Over the years, I have come to understand that while they offer valuable support for many aspects of our businesses, these systems often struggle to meet the growing demands of today’s data-driven landscape.Over my three-decade-long career as a data analytics professional, I’ve walked the halls of countless organizations, working closely with teams that grapple with the complexities of SAP systems. I have witnessed the frustration and setbacks that arise when trying to extract valuable insights from the data locked within these systems. As someone who is deeply passionate about helping businesses make sense of their data, I can’t help but feel a personal connection to the struggles faced by my fellow professionals. The journey has not been without its challenges. SAP systems, like ECC and HANA, are powerful tools, b
While using internal load balancer, scale out event happens (due to traffic metric activation), a new instance is created. At this point I noticed that all existing instances do not get traffic AT ALL from the load balancer for at least 10 seconds (traffic drops to zero). This cause a sever traffic failures to the backend and only after a few minutes when the scale out event completes the old instanced get traffic back.

Hey Community! We’re (re-)designing our event driven architecture, and would like to hear some feedback/ideas from you!Our company provides B2B BNPL in the CEE region (soon through whole EU), so we have handle webshop orders, invoices, complains, communication, etc. So we’ll have around 100-150 technical events (ex. order placed, debtor paid inside period, 10 days passed since due date, etc.) and we plan to attach different logic to each event. These handlers will work differently based on some factors (currency, country of origin, time during the day, record statuses, etc.) and will trigger actions (email sending, Slack message, API call, etc.) or other events.Technical note: We’ll use Terraform to setup the solution, and our whole solution runs on different serverless GCP solutions. (GCF, Cloud Run)First approach: use GCP Workflows and Tasks to map handlerspro: low-code solution, when all details are passed easy to extend (for a while) great Terraform support con: we have concerns

As a startup with a small number of users, one of our struggles with GCP has been latency. Cloud functions, gateways, and even pubsub are taking > 5 seconds. This is causing poor user experience, and timeouts from third party webhooks, etc.We are finding ourselves needing to set min instance counts on functions, and run heartbeats on api gateways to keep them warm. (We haven’t yet solved the slowness with pubsub). Is this par for the course? What have others experienced?

Hello everyone,I propose that we have a group dedicated to FinOps and Sustainability (a.k.a. GreenOps). Optimizing cloud for cost and carbon is hugely important, especially with rapidly accelerating government regulation. My view is that it deserves first class citizenship as a group so that those of us driving thought leadership can share ideas and bring others along.I favor combining these topics in a single group, because they are two sides of the same coin. Optimizing for either cost or greenhouse gas emissions directly impacts the other. What does everyone think?Thank you,Mark Richter, Solution Consultant, Google Cloud Practice, Thoughtworks
