For Really Big SAP workloads -- Announcing Google Cloud Bare Metal Solution for SAP. #brilliantbaremetalWhen customers run SAP workloads on Google Cloud, we know that scalability is a major concern. It's why SAP on Google Cloud offers some of the industry's most powerful SAP-certified infrastructure options: single-node 6TB and 12TB VMs optimized for S/4HANA OLTP workloads. Some of our customers, however, run on-premises SAP environments that are far bigger than the biggest and most robust VMs. As you might expect, running SAP workloads at such massive scale can be an expensive, complex, and generally burdensome undertaking. But customers can see major operational benefits like greater scalability and lower cost of ownership if they move these mega-scale SAP workloads to a cloud environment. Performance is critical as well. See below for details on our record setting bare metal performance benchmark for SAP. Check out the details here. Helpful? Let us know.
Today I read this article on 5 ways to upload content to Cloud Storage,I have used 4 out of 5. I have never used the Cloud Storage Transfer Appliance.Has anyone in our community used it?What is the process? How is it done? How much data did you have and decided to use it? How long did it take you?It would be great if one could share his story

Eventarc enables you to read events from Google Cloud sources (via its Audit Logs integration) and custom sources (via its Pub/Sub integration) and then route them to Cloud Run services. The event routing rules are defined with a trigger. We can configure these triggers with the right event filters.Triggers with Cloud Console, it’s the easiest way Pub/Sub triggers with gcloud, you’ll need to do a little bit of work & Audit Log triggers with gcloud, are more complicated, as you’re dealing with multiple event source types, not just Pub/SubA great article from Mete Atamel Developer AdvocateHas anyone used it and wants to share tips with us?
Quizlet is an online learning community and provider of study resources to students and teachers. With over 50 million monthly users. For a more secure and convenient solution to Memcached node scaling, they switched to Google Cloud's Memorystore. The results were:cut costs by half, using only a quarter of their capacity, bigger footprint, reduced Memcached ops time, easier monitoring now, scaling is so much easierbut the most important is that it eliminated a lot of stress for the SRE teamhttps://cloud.google.com/blog/products/databases/memorystore-helps-cut-costs-and-improve-sreFor me, the elimination of stress from the SRE team is the most important result. People without or with less stress will be much more productive! I would love to read your opinions!

Great report from Bob Evans and John Foley on the 2021 Cloud Database market. They break down their analysis by four primary criteria, which i’ve pasted below. Report here → https://cloudwars.co/cloud-database-report/cloud-database-report-oracle-aws-and-snowflake-take-on-all-challengers/We used four criteria in choosing the Cloud Database Top 20: Enterprise capabilities. Vendors with a complete range of services and support that enterprises may want or need. Fully managed services are a plus. Platform adaptability. Tools, services, and APIs for data integration/migration and application compatibility are must-haves. Innovation. A steady pipeline of new, modern, differentiating capabilities. Demonstrated business value. Customer success is the #1 proof point.
