Why VM failed after restart?

I had try my hand’s on GCP Virtual machines and many other companies, but when i just restart or cold reboot it, i found my VM is not connecting any more.

Dataflow and Composer or Compute engine

Hi guys, I would like to get your perspective on my case. I have many jobs that I need to run on apache beam and I need to schedule them with Airflow. Is it better to use dataflow and Cloud Composer or buy a VM on compute engine and run my job through python (apache beam) and install my airflow in that VM?

PHP on App Engine experience

I wanted to share our experience of misjudgment on App Engine by me and my development in one of the projects we worked on. For most of the web based projects we use App Engine for hosting. We deploy multiple services on it like website, API and other supporting services. In 2016 I used CodeIgniter 3 and customized it to run on App Engine. I wrote about that in my personal website and to this date it was the most visited page.https://www.hthirukkumaran.com/cloud-development/hosting-codeigniter-on-google-app-engine/We then moved on to Laravel 5 and I accepted developers suggestions and approved it for use and it was all ok until we developed a project on Laravel 7 and the application was very slow and not matter how much we optimize it no fruitful results were yielded for it.After discussion with my developers I found out that they thought the community documentation is an official documentation by Google and hence they switched to Laravel. Rethinking ‘rehost, replatform, rearchitect’: Cloud migration for the real world

https://cloud.google.com/blog/products/cloud-migration/real-world-cloud-migration-strategiesWhen helping customers plan large-scale migrations of applications to the cloud, we here on the Professional Services team sometimes observe them pouring countless hours into the top-down evaluation of their application estate and categorizing them into discrete migration strategies like “rehost”, “replatform”, “refactor” and so on. It’s a well established industry practice in which the only open point for debate, it seems, is whether there are 5, 6, 7 or 8 distinct “R’s”. In practice, the popular “R” migration strategies aren’t really strategies at all—they’re placeholders for all the things you don’t yet know about your applications. We find that an IT organization's policies and capabilities do more to determine the migration path than anything else and ultimately override any architect’s prior top-down planning.

Are there any best practices for partial data updates using Cloud Storage?

Hi everyone,My name is Masahide Mori.I'm currently thinking about using Cloud Storage to store cloud application data, and I'm trying to add an auto-save feature.The reason for using CloudStorage is that it assumes that the data is a large chunk (over MB).Of particular concern are the frequency of saves and the size of the transfer. In general, the downlink transfer speed is faster than the uplink, so I'm thinking of the following logic. Is this a good logic?Preparation1. Make the object itself a form that can be represented by a set of elements (e.g. JSON)2. Set a unique serial code for each element.3. For now, let's assume the file is placed under "private / backend version / user_uid /".logic1. Create an object and save it in the cloud. to "private / v1 / user_uid / object_name / basefile"2. This backup includes both application data and GKE cluster state data.
