Reliance Jio partners with Google Cloud for 5G

It is interesting to see Google Cloud’s strategic investments over the past few months in the field of networking. Google Cloud made news recently for their partnership with SpaceX to deliver satelitte internet to the far fetched corners of the world. Now, Google Cloud has partnered with India based Reliance Jio for 5G services. This partnership will help Reliance utilise Google Cloud’s edge network and caching capabilities and combine them with their expertise in telecommunications sector to deliver quality 5G network services to the country. Reliance Jio transformed the entire telecommunications landscape by bringing cutting edge plans and benefits (no I am not quoting an article, they literally transformed the entire country and changed everything). Their future proofed infrastructure and massive scalability helped many enterprises and low income groups realise the power of the internet. docker is one amazing feature of the cloud infastructure and a time saver for any cloud infastructure but today we dive deeper into the most critical analysis of why docker stands out. "A docker is a person employed to load and offload things at the dock or on ships" Taking the above definition and applying to what docker is, we can see the close how docker operates. A container is arranged with all it's dependency and exec files and deployed in docker. The benefits of docker are limitless as it is faster than VM and it can be spined up in seconds. How we scale up from here will determine how far we go.

Route Advertisement to Redistribute from Hub VPC to Spoke VPC

I need to redistribute a dynamic route (on-prem subnets) in my Hub VPC going to my Spoke VPC so my Spoke VMs will know how to get to the on-prem subnets. Any recommendation on how to efficiently implement this? Note that my Hub VPC and Spoke VPC uses VPC Peering.

CLOUD COMPUTING AND THE FUTURE OF STARTERS

The world of cloud computing is revolutionizing the way business and companies are being run, COVID 19 also helped(depend on which side you stand) shaped how working remotely should like. The rise of this amazing technology also came with new roles and new challenges while roles like cloud architect and Cloud DevOps architect also came up, it created a new shift on what skills one should have to function in such roles. Skill set depends on the cloud role you are chasing as GCI, Azure, AWS and Oracle will mean different knowledge on how the platform works. Kubernetes and Docker are highly recommend skill set that any one who wants to work on cloud must have. While this is important, a lot of questions are arising which are: who defines what should be the bench mark for approved skill set, the cloud provider, the government, the cloud users or the company. Hi, everyone. I just wanted to ask if there is any solution to provide 25 IPs on a single NIC of a GCE instance. Note that the IPs should all be accessible / reachable by other instances.

Windows Server Unable to PING and RDP after Windows Firewall Restore to Default

I restore the windows firewall of a windows server (GCE instance) to default and now I cannot PING or RDP its public and private IP. Any workaround with this one?

How can I access the Cloud SQL with private IP only from another Project/VPC?

We are trying to migrate a GCE DB instance residing in Project-A / VPC-A, to an existing Cloud SQL instance residing in Project-B / VPC-B that has private IP only.

Cloud DNS for GKE with VPC resolution scope

I saw this blog post recently:https://cloud.google.com/blog/products/containers-kubernetes/integrating-cloud-dns-with-gkeThis looks really neat, but just wonder about it since from what I can recall SVC ClusterIPs are not routable outside of the cluster? I think with alias IP addresses used for PODs & SVCs only the PODs IPs are routeable in VPC, but that doesn’t help much since you never really use them directly, but always via ClusterIP or for any comms outside of cluster you would have to use ILB for which you could already use annotation to get Cloud DNS entry in the private zone? It is maximizing the flexibility we have to manage our monitoring environments by introducing Metrics Scopes. Cloud Run on GCP

We are a startup and for us App Engine was the first choice to develop SAAS applications and Compute Engine was the next choice. GKE was overwhelming for our developers so we never explored the container option. With Cloud Run we have a hope of realising the vision of developing SAAS using containers. This is a wonderful book that explains Cloud Run in detail. The last chapter in this book is very important to convince the clients that the Cloud Run is based on open standards of KNative and hence there is a way out of Google Cloud if the client wants to move. The tech stack we are exploring for Cloud Run is .NET 5.0, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, Cloud Tasks, Cloud Pub/Sub. .NET 5.0 is awesome in terms of cross-platform support. We are developing sample applications on Linux and Mac to test its cross platform compatibility.

Is there any analogs of Dapr?
