Google Meet vs. Zoom: Microsoft plug-ins

What’s your experience using Microsoft plug-ins on either platform?

Excerpt from this Meet vs. Zoom eBook states:

“Zoom offers plugins that enable the platform to integrate with Microsoft Outlook and Teams so that Zoom meetings will show up in Microsoft users’ calendars. However, because of Google Meet’s integration with the rest of Google Workspace, Meet takes things much further.

Easy-to-use plugins make it simple for mixed GoogleMicrosoft teams to coordinate their calendars and schedule meetings. The Google Meet add-in for Microsoft Outlook enables Microsoft users to add Meet video conferencing details to their Outlook calendars, while the Google Calendar Interop tool enables team members to view each others’ schedules and book meeting times.

The big differentiator happens when a mixed GoogleMicrosoft team wants to collaborate on content during a meeting. Using the Office editing feature, Google users can easily access, edit, and even collaborate on Office files right in Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides -- without having to convert the Office files.”

Has anyone used these plug-ins and found this to be true?
