High speed of new Workspace features: How to support end-users best?
Hi all,Great to be part of this discussion group! Have a general Google Workspace tools question:Over the past year, the speed of new Workspace features rolling-out was extremely high. Also going forward, I see a great pipeline of new features coming to G Workspace - speed of new features remains high. How can we as company customers best support our colleagues to 'digest'/apply all these new tools? Any secret recipe? 😉 As I see some in our organization are struggling a lot with thisCurious to hear your opinions, tips & tricks from your side!Best regards from SwitzerlandRaphael
Chat transcripts from recorded Google Meet sessions
I’m hoping the expertise of this community might answer my question or, better yet, provide a recommended solution. As good Google Workspace customers , we host all our C2C events in Google Meet. We record most sessions for both the video (if there’s a presentation), but also just to capture all the great shared links and comments in the chat. I love that Drive auto-shares the recording and chat transcript with me when it’s ready. However, I can’t ever access the transcript doc to copy those links and comments. The link it provides in the email is view only and I can’t even highlight text to copy! I can navigate through drive to find the actual doc to access it there, but I’m wondering if there’s a solution to this challenge I’m facing.
Would you be interested in a Talk about productivity data?
We discuss so much about Workspace enabling productivity, but what does the data say? How are businesses doing? Are we more productive remote? Should we empower employees to continue working remote? We have access to thousands of data points, but how are they collected? How are insights derived? Are others making decisions using these points? How happy are we now? All these questions and more could be answered in this Talk. So, tell me, do you want this? If so, we can spin it up! cc: @JoeyMaller_UCC

Colgate-Palmolive moves to the cloud with Chrome Enterprise and Google Workspace
"Changing out software and hardware for 30,000 employees in 70+ countries is a massive project. Early on, we chose Chrome Enterprise as our partner. We had to move away from our dependency on legacy platforms, software, and devices if our business was going to thrive. We knew cloud-based tools like Chrome and Google Workspace would do what on-premises solutions can’t—ease the IT workload while keeping employees happy and productive."https://cloud.google.com/blog/products/chrome-enterprise/colgate-palmolive-moves-to-cloud-with-chrome-enterprise-and-google-workspaceImage Source: Official GoogleCloud BlogHere at C2C I had the opportunity to learn a lot about workspace. Either with the UK&I events or reading posts at the Workspace group. But it still amazes me reading how it can help companies with a lot of employees spread around the globe!

Selling GW in regions you are not a Partner
Morning all (or afternoon depending on where you are)!My company is a Google Partner for Selling GW in UK & I. I’ve seen an increase in enquiries for GW from prospects in the US and NZ, where we’re not a Partner. At the moment, we don’t use a local distributor and just set up the GW client with our billing information and then invoice the client with our services bundled in. We also don’t bother to put margin on the GW licences, just sell at cost.I’m curious as to how you folks deal with those situations.CheersPaul
Earlier this week, I attended a webinar on Google Tables (Beta by Area 120).I was impressed by its capabilities and the possibilities it’d create if it ever became a core Google Workspace product. But that’s the thing… will it?I’m hesitant to embed it deeply within my organization or encourage my clients to do the same given Google’s record of fast-failing products that don’t gain sufficient traction. On the other hand, I’m encouraged by some of the high-profile clients they already have using Tables.Thoughts? Will Tables stick?
Share your questions for our Future of Work executives, Kelly Ducourty and Peter High
I’m curious about what some of our company leaders have in mind for what long-term effects the pandemic will have on work life.I want to give our community a chance to help shape the conversation we’re hosting on The Future of Work from an Executive View. While we always offer live Q&A, any questions you have ahead of time are things that we can weave into our planned conversation with Kelly Ducourty and Peter High. Either way, I encourage you all to sign up!@ChristianNewman shared on a separate thread that “for optimal employee engagement and productivity, the collaboration experience must be designed to be remote-first.” What are you or your companies working on now to prepare for that post-vaccine return to normalcy? Are employers prioritizing hybrid landscapes moving forward?

Community Introduction: Gabriel Hoces
What role do you serve in your current organization?I’m the Marketing Manager at Tricent, which is SaaS-solution that helps Google Workspace users audit and un-share their files with external collaborators (e.g. Docs, Sheets, Slides, images, videos, etc) What's your experience with Google Cloud? Limited, but I am keeping myself updated with the latest features and trends. I’ve started some GCP courses for beginners : ) What are you “famous” for? My marketing collaboration with Google for Education in Scandinavia and the UK, which has led to several successfully co-hosted events, webinars, and guides related to Google-solutions (Jamboard, Chromebook, GSEFE, EdTech trends, etc). Karate, but I suppose that’s not really relevant here 😁 What is the #1 result you'd like to get out of this community? Connect and collaborate with other Googlers. I’d be happy to help arrange and promote co-hosted webinars, events, and educational material that can benefit Google Workspace users around the

On and Offboarding within Google Workspace
Provisioning, Deprovisioning, Onboarding, Offboarding, or User Lifecycle Management, we all have terms we use for the starters, leavers and movers tasks we follow within our Google Workspace environment. On the 17th June the UK and Ireland Community will be hosting another online event on this popular topic. Before then we’re interested to understand how others are managing this process? What tools and scripts are you using? Are you scripting and using tools like GAM, which is extremely popular amongst many Google Workspace for Education customers, or have your purchased Google Workspace management tools like BetterCloud or Patronum? Have you taken advantage of the new Google Workspace licensing options for archived users? OnboardingWhen you create a new user, what processes have you automated? Do you use Google Apps Script to create Contracts, Training Records etc? Or something more sophisticated like Zenphi?OffboardingWhen it comes to offboarding there are a number of key steps, what a
How do you communicate enhancements made to Google Workspace (GW) with your team members?
I am the Product Owner for Google Workspace in my organization. I lead a team of over 320+ volunteers who we have named Google Guides to help me facilitate communication, evangelization, tips and tricks as well as helping team members become productive utilizing Google Workspace tools. Our company acquires companies frequently and it seems as though we are always in the process of transitioning new teams onto Google Workspace, typically from a Microsoft environment. The Google Guides started out as a small team of professionals in our organization who volunteered to help us pilot Google Workspace (G Suite at the time), evangelize our company’s decision to move away from Microsoft to Google and help team members worldwide transition. As many of you know, often times team members transition enthusiastically but more often than not, they go kicking and screaming! LOLMy role is to make that transition more comfortable, to train, provide tips and tricks, lead our Google Guides organizati
Inconsistent Google Account Email / Security Policies (+-Aliases)
Can someone please go out and ask a Googler why for gods sake a +-Alias (say dominik+C2C@22dconsulting.com) is treated as an actual ALIAS to the primary account BUT in case of creating a new unmanaged gmail account? It works in Calendar It works in Meet It works in Drive It (obviously) works in Emails. Why is the account creation flow just … you know … IGNORING it? Thanks for coming to my RANT-Talk

Value Calculators to measure impact of google workspace
Google has come out with an interesting value calculator to measure impact of google workspace. The two I found are: https://workspacecalculator.withgoogle.com/ which seems to work better for larger organizations and another one that was suggested to me by Joey Miller from intercloud. https://inthecloud.withgoogle.com/future-of-work-21/register.html?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=unpaidsoc&utm_campaign=FY21-Q1-Blog&utm_content=assessment&utm_term=-&linkId=111973704. I would love to better understand if there are other tools out there that you like to use to help drive use case development within your organization to adopt more google workspace.
What are on your Google Chat wishlist?
The general consensus is that people have love/hate relationship with Google Chat. When Slack had outage at the beginning of the year, many Slack organizations had no choice but to resort to Chat as a backup. Compared to Slack/MS Teams, there are many areas of improvements for Chat. What are some of the items on your wishlist?I will start.Ability to delete rooms More admin controls (who can created rooms, who can post, who can leave, etc., similar to how Google released updated settings for Groups back in 2019) Ability for admins to see the group email addresses associated with each room Updated API
