Hi,
We have joint mailboxes for departments (sales, finance, purchase) and moving from Outlook’s shared inboxes, this probably hurt the most.
We are having 50% of the companies using delegated mailboxes (requiring extra licenses) and 50% on HiverHQ (GW+HiverHQ-license, and this is so expensive and bad, that I really want to replace this asap).
So I just wanted to poll people how they handle external/internal collaborative mail, please share any comments on your setup below :)

i would say it is a mix of all 4. each has a specific advantage and will resolve best specific problems.
I always try to resolve the issue by prioritising the solutions
Google Groups are quite powerful, but are not as easy to grasp as a standard Gmail inbox and the subtle differences in labels, in the inbox management, and in search can make it hard for those transitioning from outlook (as they need to learn different ways to do the same thing in Gmail and Google Groups (message to Google → can you please give the option to use a Gmail inbox for a Google group)
For gmail inboxes, always uses delegation, never share the password of the delegated mailbox…
and if you are getting over 10/15 or 20 delegates on the same mailbox, it is probably time to look into dedicated solutions (Zendesk/Copper, etc..)

I described our setup in my initial post.
I think Google Groups only works as distribution lists, all other use cases fail miserably.
